Glass-fused to-steel technology is the premium coating in the digester tank market , It is glass ( enamel ) coated on Ti-rich special steel plates . This is the only tank where two material are fused to achieve the best of both : the superior corrosion resistant of glass combined with the strength and flexibility of steel . The glass steel plates are connected by high grade bolts on erection site and as well as sealed by silicone sealant . The tank is gas and water impermeable .
