Characteristics of livestock and poultry wastewater.

Livestock wastewater contains large amounts of color, chemical oxygen demand, biochemical oxygen demand, nitrogen, and suspended solids. It is important to take into account that during the day-to-day operations of farms, large amounts of wastewater are generated, and when discharged into the environment untreated, these waters are a major source of contamination of ground and surface waters. Farmers employ a number of technological solutions to treat discharge water to meet regulatory thresholds and mitigate environmental impact.

Genzon Technology has developed an innovative technology that removes approximately 98% of suspended solids and inert organic loadings (COD). The use of micronized air bubbles (and sludge entering the vessel) accelerates the removal of solids by accelerating, all within a very small footprint. Each plant is designed according to the farm infrastructure to maximize plant efficiency and minimize initial and operating expenses.

The overall project of livestock wastewater treatment in the aquaculture industry takes biochemical treatment technology (UASB + two-stage AO + phosphorus removal + final sedimentation) as the core process to ensure the stable compliance of COD, ammonia nitrogen and total phosphorus. Harmless and resourceful treatment of animal manure in the farm, using environmental biotechnology, mixing special fermentation bacteria, high-temperature aerobic fermentation of animal manure, rapid decomposing and deodorization, and bioconversion into high-quality compost.
