Poultry And Livestock Manure Storage Tanks
Poultry and livestock manure storage is an indispensable part of modern farms. The farm must be equipped with enough manure storage tanks to collect a large amount of manure flushing water and polluted runoff in today's farms and reduce the impact of farming sewage on the environment. Nowadays many farms used Glass-Lined steel tanks to store poultry and livestock manure.
What are Glass-Lined Steel Tanks
After firing at a high temperature of 820°C-930°C, the molten glass reacts with the surface of the steel plate to form an inert and inorganic bond, which combines the strength and flexibility of steel and excellent glass corrosion resistance. Therefore, glass-lined steel storage tanks provide many advantages over standard epoxy storage tanks or welded and painted storage tanks. Glass-lined steel technology is a high-quality coating technology in the storage tank market. Glass-lined steel tanks are widely used in applications such as bio-energy, municipal sewage, landfill leachate, and industrial wastewater treatment.

Compared with other types of storage tanks, glass-lined steel tanks have significant advantages for customers, consultants, and contractors. The internal and external surfaces of the glass-lined steel tank are treated by melting glass to steel to provide long-term protection and have the following advantages:
Long life, reducing operating costs
Modular bolt tank structure, fast and cost-effective on-site installation-reduce project time, cost, and requirements for on-site equipment
Flexible shape, small footprint
Storage tanks can be expanded, disassembled and relocated, providing long-term asset value
The optimal corrosion resistance of glass fused steel
Safe and reliable storage, lowest maintenance cost
Complete range of diameter and height options, storage capacity solutions over 25,000m³, the most cost-effective solution
The installation time of the glass-lined steel tank depends on the size of the installed tank and the complexity of the installation process. Generally, the installation speed is very fast, usually less than one-third of the time required to complete a welded tank or concrete tank, but factors such as site complexity or specific job requirements can change the installation time.
The glass-lined steel tank is manufactured and produced in the factory and then transported to the project site for assembly. Each part is erected, sealed with gaskets, and bolted to adjacent parts. This results in a quick and easy installation process, much faster than the installation of concrete or welded storage tanks, and is not affected by weather delays, greatly reducing the time and labor on site.
How are they assembled?
Starting from the bottom of the structure, each panel is erected one layer at a time. Gaskets are installed between adjacent panel parts to form a firm seal and prevent damage to adjacent metal surfaces. Then install the appropriate fasteners and tighten them to specifications. Add accessories such as valves, doors, or manhole covers if necessary, and finally install the top cover of the tank. Since the installation is carried out in a larger part, the storage tank can be erected quickly, without sandblasting, painting, or other preparations on site.
