Anti-wind Ring Enhances Glass-Fused-to-Steel Tanks Against Super Typhoon
Typhoon is one of the most serious natural disasters in the world. When a typhoon crosses the border, it often brings storms and rains. It will not only destroy various buildings and infrastructure but also cause huge losses to human life and property. There have been too many typhoons to destroy tank accidents all over the world. For example, in October 2012, a tank of a US oil smelting company was damaged by a hurricane "Sandy" attack, causing about 300,000 gallons of diesel leakage. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the design of the wind-resistant structure of the storage tank to reduce the impact of the typhoon on the storage tank.
Glass-Fused-to-Steel tanks are often used as wastewater storage tanks, landfill leachate storage tanks, municipal sewage tanks, etc., and most of the stored liquids are corrosive. If the storage tank is blown and ruptured due to the impact of a typhoon and liquid leakage occurs, it will cause significant economic losses and serious environmental pollution. So how to enhance the wind resistance of enamel assembled cans?
Center Enamel is a well-known enamel assembly tank manufacturer in China. The enamel assembly tank independently developed and produced has the advantages of the short construction period, superior corrosion resistance, low cost, convenient installation, and beautiful appearance. For the large diameter glass-lined steel tank, Center Enamel has specially designed a special anti-wind ring to ensure the tank has high wind resistance. The windshield has applied for a design patent and has been successfully validated in multiple project applications.
In August 2019, the super typhoon "Lima" attacked Hangzhou in a positive way. The maximum wind force in the center reached 16 or above, which was rare in history and accompanied by heavy rain. Affected by the typhoon, buildings, and infrastructure in some areas of Hangzhou have suffered various degrees of damage and collapse. The glass-lined steel tank provided by Center Enamel is located in the Xiaoshan District of Hangzhou City. After the typhoon left, it was learned that our storage tank successfully resisted the "Litchma" typhoon attack, and the main performance and appearance of the tank were not affected and could still be used normally.
Center Enamel has continuously studied and researched tank design technology, accumulated experience in actual engineering projects, adhere to independent innovation and enhanced strength, and strictly customized the tank design for GFS tanks according to international storage tank design standards. The technical advantage allows the Glass-Fused-to-Steel tank to stand the test of the typhoon!
With first-class tank design technology, our storage design team won the 2018 design Innovation award and outstanding contribution award and achieved fruitful results in the field of tank design. At present, the Center Enamel design team has achieved double breakthroughs in the height and volume of GFS tanks. The GFS tanks with a height of 34.8 meters and a diameter of 7.64 meters have been designed respectively. The height is 8.4 meters, the diameter is 56.56 meters, and the volume is up to 21100 cubic meters. The leading design concept and the quality of storage have enabled our Glass-Fused-to-Steel tanks to be exported to 60 countries and regions, and have won the trust and recognition of many customers.
