For example, in October 2012, a tank of a US oil smelting company was damaged by a hurricane "Sandy" attack, causing about 300,000 gallons of diesel leakage. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the design of the wind-resistant structure of the storage tank to reduce the impact of the typhoon on the storage tank.

Glass-Fused-to-Steel tanks are often used as wastewater storage tanks, landfill leachate storage tanks, municipal sewage tanks, etc., and most of the stored liquids are corrosive. If the storage tank is blown and ruptured due to the impact of a typhoon and liquid leakage occurs, it will cause significant economic losses and serious environmental pollution.
