Stainless steel chemical tanks and reactors used in the chemical industry are often subjected to harsh conditions. Equipment may be subject to large temperature fluctuations while maintaining highly corrosive content and subjecting to high pressure or vacuum. The risk of explosion may also play a role. Therefore, reliability, durability and safety are always paramount when designing and manufacturing these tanks.
There are often special requirements when manufacturing chemical tanks and reactors for the chemical industry. For example, storage tanks must be able to withstand: high pressure (even vacuum), large temperature differences, and highly corrosive or abrasive substances.
