Besides of glass fused to steel, Tanks / Silos can be also made out of a high variety of material: Concrete, FRP, Carbon steel, LIPP, Stainless steel, Aluminum, Galvanized steel and so on. But Non of these alternatives gives the same excellent combination of properties as glass fused to steel plates.
With a fused finish of glass over all surfaces, internal and external, steel plates and glass are fused together to achieve the best properties of both – the strength and flexibility of steel combined with the high corrosion resistance of glass.
And for this reason the glass fused to steel tank are used for a wide range of application: from the dry storage of animal feed, over the storage of potable water till the use for digesters and storage of aggressive industrial effluents.
