Biogas storge tank is also called biogas holder and is a kind of Anaerobic digestion tanks which are often cone shaped and supported at the centre with a single pole. Commercial biogas reactor tanks are usually made from one of the following materials :

•     Mild steel
•     Concrete – Reinforced concrete and pre-cast (either pre-  stressed or post - stressed)
•     Stainless steel.
•     LIPP
•     Glass fused to steel : also called enamel coating steel, glass lined steel.

Among above materials , the glass fused to steel is the perfect material for the biogas holder tank as comparison results as below

And what is glass fused to steel ( Enamel coating steel )? 

The enamel steel sheet is made of special steel ART310 containing rich titanium that makes the steel sheet twice the strength then ordinary steel plate. Inside and outside the steel plate coated with two layers of enamel , after drying , heat the steel in 900 ℃ high temperature, makes the steel sheet to achieve the best performance of both : the strength and flexibility of the steel combined with the corrosion resistance of the glass.

The strong bonding enamel coating not only can prevent the corrosion of tank , but also resistance to strong acid and strong alkali. To assemble the industrial tanks , we use the self-locking bolt and special sealant to connect the steel sheets. This kind of assembly structure achieved rapid low installation requirements. And according to actual requirements , the capacity of the tanks can be expanded and removed easily.

 Application

GFS tank has been widely used municipal and industrial effluent , sewage , waste water , water treatment as various aerobic and anaerobic reactors of UASB , EGSB , SBR , BAF, USR , CSTR , and equalization tank , sludge holding tank , etc. Detail application fields of the enamel coating tanks are as blow :
