Pulp and Paper Industry Sewage Treatment
The pulp and paper industry is one of the oldest core industrial sectors in the world. The socio-economic importance of paper has its own value for the development of the country as it is directly related to the industrial and economic growth of the country. The paper industry is a capital, energy and water-intensive industry. It is also a highly polluting process that requires significant investment in pollution control equipment.
Pulp and paper mills are a major industrial sector that use large amounts of lignocellulosic material and water in their manufacturing processes and release chlorinated lignosulfonate acids, chlorinated resin acids, chlorinated phenols and chlorinated hydrocarbon. About 500 different chlorinated organic compounds have been identified, including chloroform, chlorates, resin acids, chlorinated hydrocarbons, phenol, catechol, guaiacol, furans, dioxins, eugenol, vanillin Wait.
