Aluminum domes are the preferred overlay solution for any storage application. The aluminum dome structure is superior to other lid designs due to alternative materials for the following reasons:
The most effective leak protection solution - designed for maximum weather tightness of new and modified tanks.
Low maintenance costs - aluminum alloy is resistant to corrosion and does not need to be painted like steel fixed roofs. Since the connection is made by locking bolts, there is no need to reinstall the bolts.
Emission reduction - Reduces steam losses caused by wind, helps control odors and provides important emission credits. For lighter products such as gasoline, domes mounted on EFR can reduce emissions by more than 90 percent.
Mounting in use - can be mounted on the ground next to the tank or on the EFR and can be easily lifted into place. No work, thus minimizing installation risk.
