Sludge holding tank also called sludge storage tank is usually a fundamental facility in wastewater treatment plants. As we all know, sludge is a by-product of wastewater treatment, which is complicated to handle. Generally, sludge is utilized as fertilizer on farmland, deposited at waste disposal sites, or the sludge is incinerated onsite or at an external partner — often as fuel for an energy generation system. There are various complicated corrosion forms in the sludge, such as acid-base corrosion, atmospheric corrosion, abrasion, penetration type swelling and cracking physical erosion, and microbial corrosion of bacteria and algae, which seriously affect the service life of the sludge storage tank. So a high-quality sludge holding tank is very important for the wastewater treatment project.
