Center Enamel Provides Leachate Tanks, Leachate Collection System For Landfill Leachate Treatment Project
Center Enamel Leachate storage tanks are designed to be part of a Leachate Collection System where pipes from the landfill deliver captured leachate into the collection tank. Once collected, the leachate is removed and treated.
Most landfills allow the disposal of organic materials that produce methane as they degrade. Methane released into the air poses the risk of explosion, whereas dissolved methane in the leachate necessitates methane stripping. Other leachate applications include large manufacturers and mining operations such as coal and metal ore. Many rock extraction processes produce waste containing sulfides. When sulfides come into contact with air, the result is highly toxic sulfuric acid.
