Leachate Storage Tanks Introduction
Leachate Storage Tanks are designed to store leachate, which is the water is being extracted from the site. Leachate is highly corrosive depending on the variability of the composition, and need tanks and containers with excellent corrosion resistance to store it. The Leachate storage tanks are made of Glass-Fused-to-Steel which was fired at 820°C-930°C high temperature, the molten glass reacts with the steel plate surface to form an inert and inorganic bond. The leachate storage tanks combine the strength and flexibility of steel and outstanding corrosion resistance of glass and have the service of more than 30 years.
When the composition and toxicity of leachate vary from one landfill to another landfill, one can not be too careful when storing such a volatile substance. If not properly supervised or contained, leachate can seep through the water table and into the groundwater.
