Bolted Steel Tank Applications for Anaerobic Digestion in Wastewater Treatment Industrial
Glass-Fused-to-Steel (GFS), also known as Glass-Lined-Steel (GLS) and Biogas Storage Tank, these names all means the same thing. This is the only tank finish where two materials are fused together to achieve the best of both: the strength and flexibility of the steel combined with the corrosion resistance of the glass. The high-temperature fusion of glass to steel fired at 850°C results in an inert, durable finish. Applied to both interior and exterior, the GFS technology is able to withstand the rigors of the construction site and provide many years of trouble-free service in harsh environments.

Anaerobic digestion is widely used as a source of renewable energy. The process produces a biogas consisting of methane, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide and traces of other “contaminant” gases. This biogas can be used directly in combined heat and power gas engines or upgraded to natural gas–quality biome thane. The nutrient–rich digestive that is also produced can be used as fertilizer, Such as: CSTR, UASB, SBR, EGSB, USR reactor, etc.
Most Anaerobic Digesters need to be insulated so that the proper operating temperature can be maintained regardless of the outside temperature. To meet that requirement CEC Tank can provide vertical or horizontal insulating systems manufactured for the specific tank on which it will be installed on and variable thickness based on project owners requirements.
