Single and Double Membrane Roofs

2021-07-07

The single and double-membrane roofs are made of specially formulated, high-quality, reinforced thermoplastic materials for biogas storage. These materials have special surface treatment formulations that provide high resistance to penetration while protecting the fabric from the damaging effects of UV rays. Use different membrane strengths to provide the best operating performance while maintaining strict safety factors and standards.

Single and Double Membrane Roofs

Glass-Fused-to-Steel tanks with single membrane and double membrane roofs are the well-established anaerobic digester solutions and biogas storage solutions for anaerobic digestion processes. All of our biogas storage solutions are fully supported by structural calculations, giving you full confidence in the completion of the installation for many years to come.

The single-membrane roof can be used for less demanding applications and consists of a central column supported fabric roof fixed on the wall of the GFS tank. They are commonly used for biogas collection purposes with air-tightness.

The double membrane roof provides a durable and cost-effective solution for anaerobic digestion and biogas applications. The outer membrane is always inflated, while the inner membrane will expand and contract in proportion to biogas production, making it a suitable choice for pressurized applications.

Center Enamel provides single and double membrane roofs for biogas storage. Due to the special design of the membrane roof, the penetration of biogas is very small. Membrane roofs are characterized by minimal gas permeability, durability, and maximum gas storage.

For some cases of continuous biogas utilization (such as power generation), the storage of biogas does not require a separate biogas storage device, and the storage time of biogas is short. Therefore, combining the production, collection, and storage of biogas into one device can greatly save investment.

In the biogas project and wastewater treatment project, we recommend using the integrated anaerobic fermentation tank which covers the double membrane roof on top of the GFS tank. Advantages of integrated anaerobic fermentation tank:

Less investment and less floor space

Short installation period and low construction cost

Factory manufacturing, quality is well guaranteed

The flexible top cover is relatively convenient to open, which is conducive to the maintenance of the anaerobic tank.

It can adopt a double-layer structure to maintain a certain constant working pressure and enhance the look and feel.

The gas storage film is lighter, and the pressure on the tank body is smaller than that of the rigid top cover, which is beneficial to protect the tank body.
